Hey , Dolls !
So, This post here is going to sort of
be like my “ First” post, since I am
trying to remodel my blog & add some things, maybe take some things out. I
want a new look & feel to my blog since I have been kind of neglecting it!
I like to write down & keep notes on
videos that I want to do for my YouTube channel.
A few weeks ago I posted an instagram photo
of some video ideas I had on my mind that I wanted to get done soon, such as my
May monthly favorites, my birthday haul, & the last video was my tanning
routine.
I am planning on sitting down very soon
to make a video for my YouTube channel about my tanning routine. In the video, I
will tell you all about my tanning routine starting from my night time shower
to the last step of applying the tanner. I will share my favorite products,
& how I achieve my natural “fake” tan !
I had the thought, though, to make a
blog post about it as well. Just to tell you all the basics & products I
use.
This isn’t the WHOLE routine, so please
make sure to head over to YouTube.com/diannadiamond & SUBSCRIBE NOW so that
you don’t miss it later!
LET’S GET STARTED :
So, I must tell you before we start,
That this is a VERY long process and you
are going to have to dedicate a few hours to it out of your night.
With that being said;
The FIRST STEP is to ALWAYS SHOWER first!
I like to wait until night, when my day
is done & I’m not doing anything else.
Taking a shower helps clean anything off
of your body, So that your tan goes on & looks smoother.
Also, after you apply the fake tan /
spray tan you cannot shower for up to at least 8 hours.
I don’t shower after until later the
next night.
While in the shower, the NEXT thing I do
is SHAVE my legs. Shaving doesn’t only help as a exfoliator, but, removing hair
either by shaving or waxing helps your fake tan go on more even and smooth. I
usually just shave, using a cheap disposable razor & my Pure Silk Dry Skin
Therapy Moisturizing Shaving cream.
ALSO while I am in the shower, I
EXFOLIATE. This helps get rid of the dry skin patches. You can use a loofa or
an exfoliating glove, along with an body wash you usually have in your shower
or a body scrub will work. I use a loofa and currently I am either using my
Bath & Body Works Body wash in ‘Amber Blush’, or my Bath & Body Works
Twilight Woods Golden Sugar Scrub.
Just gently scrub your entire body,
paying extra attention to the dry areas , which are ; The neck, Elbows, wrists,
Hands, knees, ankles, & feet.
After you have showered & shaved,
MOISTURIZE your entire body, with a body
lotion, or you can use the Vaseline Moisturizing spray. I use either my Bath
& Body Works body cream in ‘Amber Blush” or sometimes the my Bath &
Body Works body lotion in ‘Sky’.
Allow that about 20 minutes to soak in.
Now you can apply your fake tan, which
ever you use, or go get your spray tan!
With the fake tan I like to stay naked
the whole process, until the last step. Wait about an hour after the last coat
to get dressed. Try to wear loose fitting clothes as well, when you do get
dressed.
I use my Ocean potion Lotion everyday.
I use the other two products about once
a week.
I use ONLY my Ocean Potion gentle skin
darkener lotion for about 4 days, on it’s own.
Around the 5th day, after my
shower & the whole process, I apply a coat of the Ocean Potion all over, (
Wait 30-40 mins.) then a coat of my Avon Skin So Soft Satin Glow, glow gel, (
wait 30-40 mins.)
Then, a coat of my Avon Skin So Soft
Satin Glow Illuminating moisturizer.
( wait about an hour.)
Then, I apply another coat of Ocean
Potion.
( Dry about 1-2 hours before dressing,
just so you don’t do all this work for nothing.)
I do all of this to achieve a tan,
because I am ghostly white! I do lay out in the sun sometimes, not enough to make a difference though.
Also, I am not a tanning expert, nor am
I claiming to have a perfect tan.
This is just how I look golden in the
summer.
I hope you all enjoy,
